Sandler Sales Training

Has anyone ever heard of this sales training? The company I work for is sending some of us to Chicago to learn this stuff. From what I have heard it seems like a good program.

I know everything about this. I've been through it a couple of times. What line of sales are you in and is it Inside or Outside? I do inside sales and sell Tax and Accounting research to businesses and CPAs.

I do estimating for the largest commercial roofing company in the country. In other words I sell maintenance programs, repairs, and inspections for commercial roofs. My specialty is roof maintenance programs for Commercial Property owners and Management Companies. I do both inside and outside sales. Sometimes I am on the phone and sometimes I go meet with the potential customers and take them out to lunch, dinner, or whatever else gets them to sign the contract. Our corporate headquarters is in Chicago and that is where the class is taking place. My boss went through the program already and was telling me what to expect. From what I have heard I am looking forward to learnign these techniques.

I hope you dont have to do much driving while your in Chicago. The construction is pretty much death. I just flat out hate that city. I live in Indiana in the county right outside Chicago. And thats to close if you ask me. I hate that city...

Well we were told to take a taxi to the hotel which is in skokie. Not to far from Ohare. and the Hotel is next to the Building where the class takes place. We have a shuttle that is going to take us to dinner. No driving required. And at the end of the class they take us back to the hotel in Limos.

Nice! Well you just might be able to enjoy Chicago. Its not to bad if you get driven around. Chicago drivers are the worst in the world...

The Sandler training is just a different spin on sales. It basically tries to convey that you need to unlearn what sales techniques you've used already and retrain yourself to take a different approach. A lot of the things they teach you can be applied by outside sales reps, but not so much inside sales reps. That's why it wasn't too effect for my sales team.

There's some good stuff in there and if you keep an open mind, you'll learn some new approaches. Our trainer however, was mostly experienced in dealing with outside reps and didn't really try to alter the material so it could be applied by inside reps. That's why I asked what your sales position was...

I lived in Chicago for 3 years and loved the city while I was there but it just wasn't for me. I've always been a small town kinda guy, that's why I moved back to Michigan. I'm looking to get back out there and visit some of my buds, take my wife with me cause she's never been there, but I don't think I could live there again.

Good luck with the training and let me know what you think when you're done.

If you think driving in Chicago sucks, you most likely suck at driving! Those Indiana fockers are always messing up traffic, and people from Fudgepackerville. dont even get me started. For real though Most Illinois drivers are morons. These retards ride in the left lane at 55 and than brake check you cause you're on their ***. Seriously anywhere else in the country-left lane is the passing lane. Get the F over A-holes!!! Yeah, I'm the jerk that passes in the right lane doing 75.
