Pretty amazing. My son is a Texas ex, has season tickets and goes to Austin for every home game, but he has T-shirts from other schools that he wears. Last time I saw him, he was wearing a TCU shirt I gave him. Hope he is not in danger! I can't believe how crazy some people really are.

I'm an Aggie and t.u. is our big rival, but I would much rather support a Texas school than oklahoma! At least we have RESPECT for our rivals unlike
"cough" o.u., tortilla tech, rice "cough" some others.

OH REALLY...I have never pulled for UT (not t.u.) You may call yourself an Aggie...did you go to Blinn? A real Aggie would not make that mistake! Big rival??? How many times has A&M beat UT in the past 10 years? About as many as Tech has lost to A&M. Three in the past 10 years. Tech OWNS A&M!! TT beat them, and I wont say you, 8 outa 10. Rival would mean theres some form of competition going on.

If that young receiver from Fresno had not been such an Idiot, and fumbled from the one yard line...A&M would have been beat last Saturday....

Well contrary to your thinking, a rivalry usually goes back a little more than just a few years. This ou & t.u. game has become a big deal now since in the last 8 years or so both teams have been strong, and the outcome of that game usually determines who wins the Big 12 South. Now I'm not saying that I am proud of our record the last few years (time to can Fran), but the rivalry that I speak of, you are obviously an outsider looking in, goes much further back than you or I or anyone else still alive for that matter. So without any real passionate knowledge (meaning you obviously did not attend t.u.) you are only looking at the recent media hype. Now t.u. gets excited about the o.u game at the cotton bowl because all the media coverage and the great matchups they have had recently. But historically? It was the good guys (TAMU) vs. the bad guys (t.u.).

"(meaning you obviously did not attend t.u.)" Really? I posted earlier in this thread that I was Red Raider Alum?

Media Hype??? Great Matchups??? OU has owned UT ever since Mack got to UT...Damn near lost his job due to OU. Keep Fran...best coach Tech has ever had...Fran won't leave, until he gets busted for a UIL violation like the one at Alabama. HMMMMMM wonder when that will be? You never answered my question about Blinn.

Mack has been a phenominal recruiter, but his ability to coach in big games has been questionable at best. The year they won the National Championship was proof that one player (V.Y.) can completely take over a game. And to answer your question, my wife and I are both proud Texas A&M alumni. What is your problem with Blinn anyway? As for Fran, he will probably leave for more money (i.e. TCU->Alabama->TAMU) if he doesn't get ran off first. BTW the TAMU vs t.u. rivalry goes deeper than just football.
Ever heard of the Lonestar Showdown?
"Now in its third year, the State Farm Lonestar Showdown features all athletic competitions between Texas and Texas A&M in a system where each sport accounts for one point in a year end contest. "
