on mine, pressing lock/unlock at the same time silently disarms/arms it.

Arming the Security System
To arm the system, exit the vehicle, close all doors, then press the LOCK icon button on the remote control. The system will sound twice and the parking lights will flash twice, indicating the system is armed. The doors will also lock at this time (if equipped and connected). The status indicator (blue warning light on the dash) will blink steadily, once per second. To arm the system silently, press and hold the LOCK icon button for 1 second. The parking lights will flash 2 times indicating the system is armed and has locked the doors (if equipped and connected). The status indicator (blue warning light on the dash) will blink steadily, once per second.

Pre-arm Mode
If the horn system sounds and the parking lights flash only once, this indicates that the vehicle’s interior light is on or an entrance is left open. Check to see that all doors hood and trunk are closed properly. Once all entrances are secured (and the interior light is off), this system will sound/flash again. The system is now fully armed. (If the entrance is not secured within 4 minutes, the system will arm and gnore the unsecured entrance until it is closed.)

Disarming the Security System
To disarm the system press the UNLOCK icon button. The system will sound, the parking lights will flash once and the doors will unlock (if equipped and connected). To disarm the system silently, press and hold the UNLOCK icon button for 1 second. The parking lights will flash, indicating the system is disarmed and has unlocked the doors (if equipped and connected).

Disabling/Enabling Confirmation Chirps
1. Turn the ignition key ON then OFF.
2. Within 10 seconds push and release the valet/override button 3 times.
3. The system will sound 2 times to disable confirmation chirps or 1 time to enable confirmation chirps.

I guess this doesnt work the same because I am using the car horn and not the one that was included with ca670. It chirps twice but then it still honks the horn when locked/unlocked... 2 honks for lock, 1 honk for unlock.

Okay so heres a strange one for ya. When I get out right after driving, i look at the remote and the sound icon is silent and click lock, it still honks the horn ( i think cuz the interior lights are still on ) and changes the icon to not silent.

But once I come back to my truck it unlocks silently... weird.

Ca-670

Just fyi. I was having issues with my truck being unlocked in the morning after making sure the night before that the doors were locked. After speaking to Travis it seems that he was having this issue also. I have since stopped using the 2 way lcd remote (removed the battery) and have been only using the 6 button none lcd remote. The doors now stay locked.
It seems that the 2 way lcd is sending a signal during the night which unlocks my doors. It's good to know that the remote is what caused my truck to become vunerable (I lost a portable gps and my dell axim pda) earlier this year via the faulty remote it wasn't due to my leaving the truck unlocked.
The problem I have with the 6 button remote is the range is horrible. I can literaly stand at the door of my truck and press the unlock button 6 times before the doors actually unlock.

Well come to find out that i have a faulty brain and travis is making good on his warranty. so he will be sending me out a new brain tomorrow, and the silent unlock thing i have too but horn still honks. will try new one if not then there will be a new ca670 for sale! cause my locks were not locking either and here i am at the mall and got out hit the lock button and walked away to realize they never even locked(scary) even if i hit the lock/unlock switch on the drivers door i still get a horn honk while driving, atleast i gave it a try but there might be another viper in my future if this thing doesnt do its job correctly. thank you and good night mgmt.
