Bluetooth USB Adapter question

Hello. I recently purchased this.

http://www.iogear.com/main.php?loc=product&Item=GBU221P

and today purchased this.

utstarcom super slice with bluetooth and mp3 ringtones, best phone VM has come out with so far and for only 60 bucks on prepaid its great.

now my question is about the bluetooth. It cant detect my adapter when i select search for devices on my phone. My usb adapter finds it on the list, but it says it either is being rejected by my phone the connection, or it is not responding. Anybody know a reason for this or what i can do? Thank you.

love the phone, way better than my last slow *** kyocera oyster

Each phone is different but you have to activate what feature you want the phone to allow on BT. Such as File Sharing for moving ringtones pics etc from phone to computer or computer to phone.

It's been a while since I used BT for file transfer on a phone but seems like I had to use a software to transfer files too. The one I used was a free software but tha twas a motorola and was alos an alltel phone.

Some cellular companies disable that feature and you have to either hack the phone or pay thier prices for the software or buy thier images, ringtones etc.

If you need help probably the best place to go would be howardforums.com

It's probably locked out if it's a prepaid phone.
