"Lifetime limited Warranty
Original Owner
From what I understand the "Lifetime Warrantee", applies only to the Original purchaser of the vehicle, if it is sold, traded, whatever, no more lifetime warantee......that being said, in todays average lifespan of a vehicle with a original owner, very few people today keep a vehicle past 5-6 years, it is just a marketing Gimmik by Chrysler, they really have nothin to worry about........
Most products, "lifetime" means the manufacturers expected lifetime of the product, not your life time...... Basically it's saying, we gurantee it will last until the moment it dies and not a mile before that! Once it dies then it has reached it's life time. Dont care if you haven't even left the parking lot with it yet or not........
Original owner only, then it defaults to 3/36,000. I haven't read through it, but I understand that there are a bunch of hoops to jump through with regards to dealer performed maintenance and check points. But, if someone didn't mind following along, it may be a good deal for some people.
Most "Lifetime" warranties are limited to the original owner. The only one I can think of that isn't is DualLiner (I'm the GM) which is basically a forever materials and workmanship warranty.

They will use trickery to trick you.
I went to an 'All-You-Can-Eat' place, paid up front and loaded up my plate.
When I went back up and was reaching for a clean plate, a big guy wearing bow-tie and a cumberbund tapped me on the shoulder and said,
"Hey, that's all you can eat."
Then he threw me out.

If they would had covered the Cummins I might have pondered jumping ship...
Of course, the "free inspection" will include checking maintenance records and a list of "dealer must repair" items. I would expect it to be a little painful, but for some people it will be a great deal.
