I have never hunted Chenango County but Madison has treated me pretty well the last few years!!Last year i took 3 does with my bow, 2, 8 points with my shotgun and 2 does with shotgun.I also got a little 5 point with my rifle up north!So yeah i did well last year
You may want to think about trying Madison County!!I saw a few monsters last year but never got shots at the real big ones(figures)
Oh since you know the area all of the deer i kill are right outside of the town of Cazanovia.

In MD there's a mix of deer, most are good sized for the region with a few smaller ones around. In VA, depending on where you are 150lbs is a good sized deer, but most are smaller. I shot one in MD that I would have sworn was 275 or better, the taxidermist said over 300. He was a vruiser though and it was in full rut. His neck is wider than his head.
