Anybody use Netflix?

I've seen just about every movie worth seeing at my local Movie Gallery, so I'm thinking about starting a Netflix account. Is it worth it?

it's a toss up between netflix and Blockbuster. I had a netflix account when I was single and poor so I didnt have cable. I would rent 3 movies every other day. it was cool because they had a lot of old movies that I hadnt seen in a while..big collection. I now have a blockbuster account because, I live .5 mile from a store and can go trade in a online rented one for a movie in the store. I have yet to see if the library is as extensive as Netflix's is...like I said, it's a toss up..but if you want to go with netflix...I never had a complaint

Netflix sucks my *****.

Blockbuster is the shizzle-nittle......or whatever.

I've been using blockbuster for awhile now, and I started with Netflix. With BB, you can take a movie back to the store and exchange that way...at NO COST. Plus, they have a better selection.

If you are going to exchange them at the store, why not rent them from there in the first place?

Kinda defeats the purpose of getting them sent to you.

No, no, no....you have that option if you'd like. Let's say you watch all three movies you ordered, and you want to watch more movies. You can take those 3 back to the store instead of having to wait for the mail.

I know how it works. It just seems to defeat the purpose of paying for a "subscription" to the mail-order site.

My wife and kids watch a lot of movies and they love Netflix. Never tried the Blockbuster by mail.

She started with a 3 movie limit and went up to 4 on Netflix.

It's convenient and surprisingly fast to get movies. I've not picked any movies out but it seems like the selection is huge. Way better than the local blockbuster store.

Once in awhile, the movie you get will be damaged, but that happens when we rent at Blockbuster, too.

Packing up the kids to go to the video store is a PITA for her, so the mail is a great way to get videos, IMO.

I use Blockbuster Online and I absolutely love it. I have the 3 rental limit. You send a movie back and within 2 days you have another. I love watching movies, so this is perfect for me.

Some of our friends has netflix and they love it.
We just rent at teh BB store, we dont watch enough movies to pay for a subscription any where. We had thought about getting a Vongo subscription and just Download a movie we wanted when we wanted, but would be such a PIA to hook the laptop up to the TV everytime. I started to get a Linksys wireless media extender so we wouldn't have to but Best Buy and Circuit City was both out of them and I just never went back to get it again. Plus I dont know what kind of quality video and sound would be on a DL, for me , sound quality is most important in a flic.

I use Blockbuster. I like it because there are times when you have a sudden urge for a certain movie..spur of the moment and you CAN just drive 2 miles to the store and swap your movie out for FREE. It's a nice ADDED perk over Netflix. Plus, Blockbuster has a fair amount of "Blockbuster exclusive" titles- granted many aren't that great, but some are worth watching.

Netflicks says it can deliver in 1-2 buisness days, yea right........
Unless you live close by one of their distribution centers, it takes alot longer!
I live in So. Texas (15 min. from the river) and the closest dist. center is in Houston, so it takes 4-5 buisness days, so really a week in "regular days". I do like the selection, so I just got a 3 movie plan and only order movies that are hard to find. There is a small mom/pop movie rental place 3 blocks from my house, so I get new releases from them.

I use Netflix because I don't like to go to Blockbuster only to find that the movie I want to rent is not available. I only get 1 movie at a time right now because I am too busy to watch more than that. The movie usually sits at my house for several days before I get around to watching it.

I always get a new movie within 2 business days because there is a Netflix shipping facility right here in town.

We must live near a distribution center, as we always get new movies wihtin 2 days. It's amazing to me how quick the Netflix delivery is.

For example, we watch a movie Sunday. Put it in the mail box Monday. Netflix receives the old movie and mails the new movie on Tuesday. The new movie arrives Wednesday. Can't really be improved on for us.

When you can keep up to 4 movies at a time, we often get a new movie every day of the week.

Netflix has been doing this for years. We resisted for a long time after our friends and familiy joined, but since we joined, their system has been pretty much flawless for us.
