skinned up my ass today
My nephew decided to show up with his new toy today, an 04 Yamaha 450. I took it for a spin around the yard, launched into the road where it stood up and dumped me on my *** right on the blacktop. It ripped the whole *** out of my pants and left my right cheek a little scraped.
Now it has been a few years since I sold my old zuki quadracer 250 but this thing ripped. I was impressed with the power of the 4 stroke. Here is a couple pics of him over a little jump out in my thistle covered pasture.

Dude, where is his helmet?
I almost died last winter on a friends blaster 250 on a little jump like that not wearing my helmet....
OK, not really, I managed to save it with a very sloppy right front wheel landing, but I thought it was going over ontop of me. I quit jumping then, I'd been doing it all day and was just to exhausted, physicllay unable to lift the front end, but was having to much fun to stop.

He really had no intentions of riding it. He just stopped by to show me. I should have had mine on as well, but my gear has been packed in the closet for a few years now. I would be willing to bet that my boots have probably hardened up so bad that I will need to replace them if I ever need them again.
In this case, I have enough seat time over the years that I know how to take a fall and a helmet would not have saved my *** one bit.
