Hoping for a new beginning

Last week the worlds biggest control freak azzhole decided that it was time to fire me. No biggie for me...I hated that ***** anyway. I'll just move on. What he doesn't realize is that he is the one that ultimatley loses on this one.

There are way to many things that happened in that place that were stored only in my head and you better believe it all went with me. Everything that I gained over the past 7 years was all in my head. Nothing was ever put down on paper.

There is not one single person in the place that will be able to figure out the things I did on a daily basis. I took a day off one time, and they had to call an electrician because one of the machines wouldn't run. After a $150 service call for him to show them how to start the machine, and turn a switch for operation, they couldn't figure out how to even run it so they turned it off.

ANYWAY ON TO MY POINT
Now that the winds of change have blown across my door, I have decided to turn my hobby into a new way of life. I am looking for a name for my new photography business and I am drawing a blank. Now I have decided to turn it over to the most creative and imaginative group of people I have ever been in contact with.

NAME MY BUSINESS
I am looking for an attention getter without beeing cheesy. Using my name is out of the question as it is too long for this purpose. Since I am in the SW corner of WI I had thought about"SW Photo", or "Southwest Photo", but they just don't jump out enough.

Help me out guys and gals so I can start making some funds. I'm getting tired of feeling poor.

Rich photographer.... thats an oxy-moron isnt it?

You name cant be any longer than Metro Goldwyn Mayer (Other wise known as and most recognized as MGM studio)

Are you setting up a studio, or only doing weddings, sporting events, outdoor portraits or what? That will help decide on a name that best helps decribe and emphasis your specialty.

Creative Photography
Expressive Photography
Monument Photgraphy
Timeless Portraits
Eloquent Photogrpahy
Priceless Studio
Priceless Photography
Shutter Bug Arts
Zoom Photography
Zoom Portraits
Da Vinici Photography

Anything starting to sound intersting... if so speak and we'll kick it around some and see what we come up with. Other wise we'll keep brainstorming until an idea sparks.

For right now I am limited to location work. Weddings is not something I enjoy but there is good money in it so I am going to have to buck up. I'm hoping to get some seniors right away to make some cash flow. The I can upgrade my lighting to this setup to get more versatility.

Right now I am limited to my Nikon SB-800 wich works quite well wireless but it just doesn't have the power needed for large groups.

I want to open a studio in the future. In fact I have already found the perfect the perfect building in the perfect location but they want $125k for it and I am a jobless f uck at the moment so there is no plce in the world that is going to give me a break at the moment until I get some cashflow and working capital. It is an old gas station on a major highway in the town that I want right across the road from the school. There is no competition in town.

"Timeless Portraits" is something that may be in the right direction, but not quite there. I thought about "Passionate Portraits" as well but the first thing that comes to mind is **** when I hear that one:o

Thanks for the reply though buddy. I knew that if nobody else replied, you would give it a shot.

Brew, How's that D50 treat'n ya. Lov'n it aren't ya. I was kicking around the idea of finding one of those used for my daughter. My D200 is just too heavy for her.

Any way I here is what I spent a few minutes on a few months ago.

I didn't like it at that time because I screwed up the logo so I didn't even ad any portraits to it. I may even yet go back and mess with it a bit more and go with it.

There are curently 23 professinal photgraphers in our studio, we take aproximatly 3450 pics a day. You would not belive how often that happens.

But I do like Golden Flash.....

I was trying to go in a direction of "Touching Studio" but as soon as it ran through my mind all I could think of was Micheal Jackson.... So eliminated that one ... passionate also came to mind once, but like you I thought Adult Photography. Which is an area I wouldn't mind getting into IF I had my own studio. I work with a guy that has done alot of partially nude and nude work, tasteful, nothing hardcore, play boy or anything likw that, but it sounds fun.

Damn... Everytime I reply there is a new one while my slow *** types the last one. This proves how great this place is.

You know I thought about going to Sears. The local is looking for a photographer as well as the local Wal-Mart portrait studio. Problem is both of them only pay $7.50-$8.00 an hour. That is only half of what I was making and I am the sole income for my large family.

I'm thinking about buying one this winter, either a D50 or D70 for myself, we just switched and started using LD1's and "molested" LD2's at the studio. After shooting proms and sports with the LD1's last spring, I got quit use to the feel and was cranking out some pretty good work with it.

I love my D50. I just wish I had more time to use it and get better at taking pictures. That page you made looks pretty cool. It's tough trying to come up with a name. Just stick to it and keep a pad and pen by the bed so when you wake up in the middle of the night, you can write down your ideas.

Timeless memories

Forever more photo

Prestige prints

OK, im tired....

Timeless synonyms:
enduring, eternal, everlasting, perpetual, everlasting, ageless

How about...
ENDEARING Portraits....

It doesn't look to fancy here in this type font, but with a nice font and some creativity, that could be changed. It sounds awesome though. Say it outloud a few times and think about it, most business comes form word of mouth, so it will be said more then read.

Friend: Where did you get those done?
Your customer: En-Dearing Portraits....
