Need Prayers

Well I got a call tonight to hear that a very close friend of mine was in a construction accident. My friend was using a compact skid steer when the machine fell down a 6 foot ditch. He was pinned under the machine and has severe leg damage. He is being rushed into emergency surgery as I type this message. Unfortunately, I am not family so I will not be able to see him until tomorrow, but I was just hoping y'all could send some prayers to him and his family. Hopefully the surgery goes well and there isn't too much damage to his legs. I would appreciate the thoughts and prayers.

My prayers are with your friend and his family.

I work construction also, so I am either operating or around machinery all day, so hearing of things like this happening really hits close to home for me.

Thanks for all the prayers guys, I appreciate it. I will be going to the hospital today to see how surgery and everything is going. He is one of those types of guys that is always active either building something on his house or doing yard work or out fishing on his boat. Worked construction for 25 years so this will be a big blow to him and his family. I just hope no permanent damage has occurred. Once again, thanks for the prayers

Once again, thanks for all the prayers guys. I was able to see him at the hospital today; he was awake and in good spirits. The surgeries went well last night, no permanent damage at all. He ended up breaking both ankles as well as multiple bones in each leg. Not to be gross, but I guess when it happened, the bone in his right leg was sticking out of the skin in multiple places. There are now rods and pins throughout both legs and he will be bedridden for at least two months. They say he may be able to put some pressure on the legs in about 3 or 4 months, so he will be out of it for a long while. He is very lucky there wasn't any nerve damage or that the machine didn't fall on top of his chest or anything like that. It will be a long road to recovery, but they say in about 5 or 6 months he should be walking again, maybe with assistance for a while though. Everyone is just happy that it wasn't any worse. Once again, thanks for all the prayers and hopefully he makes a speedy recovery; I'm positive he will.
