Won't be able to see much from here anyway.

It'll almost be time to get up anywhoo, so maybe I'll look out and see if there's anything worth seeing

In the Pacific coast of the US, the total eclipse begins at 02:52:00 PDT and ends at 04:22:45 PDT, with the moment of greatest eclipse at 03:37:22 PDT.

Well, I figure that is "California time" (PDT), and since they are "2 hours behind" us, I'd say that it would be best at about: 05:37:22 or 5:37 AM.

If I am incorrect, please correct me.

Niiiice.

I caught it a tad bit late this AM...it was already sunset red when I finally got to a spot where I could see it.

I can say this, it was worth getting up for. I dig this kinda thing. Whens the next solar eclipse due?

Charlie, did you take those??? If you did, with what camera, lens? The best I have is a 70-300mmUSM-IS for my Rebel. And I wasn't steady enough on top of that.
