Finally, a prison acting like a prison...

http://www.foxnews.com/story/0,2933,294349,00.html

This takes *****, because now the ACLU is gonna be pissed off....

But, congrats to the warden!!

edit: And whatever the inmates did to wind up in prison, somehow, I think goes against their religion as well.

Let them eat S.O.S. and Spam.

Good, hell with all of them they violated someone elses rights to end up in there they arent entitled to anything except enough to survive. Makes me sick to see how well inmates get treated. **** a few years ago it got out that one prison was serving steak and lobster for a New Years dinner

If you're in prison, you should only have the right to bread and water.

Sounds like good reason to stay out of trouble, if prison life sucked, there would be a lot less people wanting to go back.

More about Joe Arpaio

Certain food items were banned from the county jail, mainly coffee (which also reduced 'coffee attacks' on guards), but later salt and pepper were removed from the jail (at a purported taxpayer savings of $20,000/year).

Wonder how many of those prisoners think twice about crime when they get out?

Many reasons to stay out of prison, but #1 on my list of reasons to stay out is prison love. Reason #1a is prison riots, reason #1b is most every thing else.

I was watching a posted video taken behind prison walls on ebaumsworld.com and the topic was "Tossing the Salad" so just use your imagination! For those of you that know that that term means then you know that alone is a great reason to stay out of prison!

**** in Canada if they work they have to be paid minimum wage They even have a person who hears complaints from inmates, about how they dont like the food, or they dont want to work, the guards arent being nice to them blah blah blah.

Theres plenty of potholes to be filled, grafitti to be removed and litter to be picked up. Chain the scum up and give them $1 a day, if they earn it

i don't understand the need to pay them... they gave up that right to make a living (and or money) when they committed the crime.

Its the stupidest ****in system there is, there are law abiding citizens making the same hourly wage and paying their bills with it. The convicts have a roof, food and medical care. They have no need for a wage, though making them work on a chain gang in the summer heat or the coldest days of winter and handing them $1 if they worked and kept thier mouth shut, and if they bitch once during the job they get nothing.

I am pissed off with prison systems, aside from the fear of having your salad tossed, really what fear is there about prison? Great food, three square meals a day, plumbing, bed, someone does your laundry for you, etc. Most inmates around hte country even have access to workout facilities, sports areas, cable TV, and often internet access. WTF? Why not treat criminals like criminals for a change! They are in there because they did something bad, and "paying your debt to society" shouldn't equal "leeching off society until your time is up". I agree, put em to work. I don't care if its working on roads, working in coal mines, telemarketing, stamping license plates, or whatever, just have em do something that benefits society, so we get a little return on our investment!
