cell phone navigation

hey all, i just got a new cell phone thru verizon and it has alot of bells and whistles. web connect etc....was wondering if any of you use yours with the gps navigation. i have the blue tooth connection and thought it might be interesting for 9.99 month to try. thinking when going camping in the boonies or tired of being lost on the bike when the gas is getting low! LOL i love getting lost mind you, just get ansy when the red low fuel light kicks in. also is it usable with the phone in the closed position or does it have to be open?
one other battery question, got it last monday and it still has 2 out of 4 cells left. i have been turning it off at night......anyway, are you supposed to let the battery pretty much die then recharge so it can learn? or do you just top off the charge daily? didn't see anything about the battery in the instructions. oh, i only read them after i started playing! LOL thanks....

I have a Nokia N95 so my GPS and maps are built in and even better yet, I don't need to pay for them. Having said that, I do like having it. Just last weekend I needed to know how to get to a resturant. All I did was punch in the address and let the GPS find out where I was and away I went.

I told my mother in-law to try it, she could get lost in her neighborhood. She loves it!!! I have not even seen how it works.

I have a BlackBerry, so I used the free google maps program with a bluetooth GPS on my last trip.

My wife's phone has it. It is great. Especially for her as she is "directionally challenged".

When I signed up for Verizon, I got something like 15 days free. If you didn't, they also have the option to use it for the day for about $3. That makes more sense for me as I would probably only ever need it once or twice a year. Why pay $120 when I could have the same use for $6.
