Just got it in March, and I haven't lost a dime Sold my 1999 for the same price I bought it for. Only thing it had in it when I sold it was the intake, exhaust, and Edge. Not bad for 40K miles. And I paid less than trade in value for my current F-250. The deciding factor will be the insurance rates. I am not going back to a 2wd truck. If the insurance isn't that much cheaper on either of the F-150s, then I'll be keeping this truck. And no pics of the 02, but imagine my old truck, only with Mickey Thompson Classic style rims.

And Slamma, its not just your truck, it's every clean black vehicle I see. The red just isn't doing it for me like I thought it would.

Aww man, I wish I was ready, I'd buy your 250 for what you have in it.

Yea there is no way I can do it right now. I stoped and looked at a Mazda MX6 today, came home and crunched the numbers and even as far as I drive a week, it would take 2 years to break even, if it didnt tear up and assuming the truck doesn't tear up.

Whatever way you go Z-man, good luck. Personally I'm not a huge fan of black vehicles, too hard to keep clean but I'm not the one who has to wash your rig, so go for it.

Cause my insurance being nearly double what I thought it was going to be is making it tough to pay for. Plus, frankly, I'm tired of driving 75. 75 mph on the highway gets me high 16/low 17s. 80+ and I'm getting 13 mpg. In my F-150, I could do 85-90 and get 16.75 mpg.

And Crazed, if I pursue the 04, I will make sure that the plugs are changed before I buy the truck.

Stealth, how are we hijacking a thread? So far all posts have been on topic...

I would keep the 250 myself
Yours has the powerstroke right?I myself like the looks of the 250 much more than the 150 and it has more power. The suspension lifts for the 250 are much more reasonable than the 150's.I do admit i love the looks of the 04+ 150's but they don't seem to be as tough as the 97-03 IMO.The newer 150's also weigh to much for the power they produce IMO.Then again the 04+ responds very well to mods for power.
I know i wish i would have gotten a 250 over my 150 but i got 2 good of a deal to pass up the 150!!My next truck will be a 250 unless ford does something about the power to weight ratio in the newer 150 trucks.
Can't you work some overtime or something to help pay for it.I dunno it just doesn't seem worth selling it for an extra $100 or so a month if you can make it up somewhere??
Man wish i had more money right now or i would buy itKinda curious if you sell it how much are you asking for it??
I do realize that gas makes a big dif.I was driving like 75 miles a day for work and today i start a new job that is only 1.5 miles away Now that is a big dif every month in $$$!!!

Just my opinion, take it how ya want!!!!
Kevin

Going to school full time makes it hard to work overtime. Yeah lifts are cheaper, but I don't plan on lifting this truck. It's already got the snow plow front springs, which basically levels the front end off. Gas doesn't bother me... I was getting the same mileage in my F-150 that I'm getting in my F-250. Problem was, I could go much faster in the F-150 to get that mileage.

Not every F-150 gets 16mpg @ 85-90. If your F250 is 2wd, get taller gears. Otherwise, get larger tires.

F-250 is 4x4 and already has the largest tires I can fit on the stock rims.

My 03 Screw 5.4L 3.73 with 33" tires gets 12mpg @ 85-90. I get a best of 14.5mpg at 50-60mph. So going to an F-150 won't get better fuel economy if you want large tires on it.

Check w/ insurance, though. I doubt any Fseries is different than another for ratings. Or, find a new agent.
