Anyone play Forza 2 with a steering wheel?

I've been playing alot more Forza 2 that I really need to.... but its kind of addictive, and so I keep thinking it would be even better with a steering wheel... I never really understood a joystick for driving...

So, who's got one, and how awesome is it?

Alright, so I have to know....it the game better than the Gran Turismo series? I have been on a GT3 kick the last couple of days, and I love the game. I need to get off the ol fat **** and get GT4, but GT3 has my attention for now.

I have a buddy at work that praises the wheel and he says it's the bomb on Froza...the first one. I dunno about 2.

[EDIT to ADD]
He just said, if you can afford the force feed back wheel, you will jizz in your shorts....his words not mine.

Ok, I have to say Graphics wise GT4 is cool...gamespeed wise, it BLOWS major monkey D***.... I like Midnight club 3: Dub Edition...and Need for Speed underground 2...faster paced and still cool driving...not realistic, but more fun

Morning dirtyd.

Need for Speed is a cool game, but there is just something about the cornering I cant grasp.

I dunno, I'm a geek like that.

I can understand that....easily. But, there is just something about the cork screw on Laguna Seca that makes my "wood" turn into a match stick. That's my favorite track.

BTW, I haven't played GT since GT2, so I can't really say what's better GT4 vs Forza2, but I can say Forza2 ROCKS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I remember back when GT first came out...it was fun as hell. working your way up in the ranks..GT2 was better. little easier IMO, I never played GT3, but my friend bought GT4 for the ps2 in his truck..we tried playing that on lunches and breaks...well it was too slow...but midnight club..you press "x" and you are in the action....high speeds and quick turns..thats a game. but not for a true auto racing enthusiast...

I have one of these for my pc.

900 degree turn 6spd h shift and clutch pedal, right now they go anywhere from $250 to $300. They are usb but im pretty sure they only work with pc ps2 and ps3.

Ive had a few different steering wheels over the years and this is easily the best one, makes driving games so much better, once in a while ill try playing a driving game with a controller and just cant do it and wonder how i ever did it without a steering wheel.

I have one of these, and love it .. worth every penny if you play driving games ..

my favorite right now is Dirt .. driving the trucks is a blast .. even if they do make you start in a silverado ..

yes, forza 2 is so much better than gt4. they need to pick it up and start making new tracks though, the forza forums are heating up with demand for a drag strip and new tracks. as for the wheel, it is so much better, i played it a best buy with one and now im trying desperately to get my hands on one. i would check out the logitech wheel for the 360 berfore you get the microsoft one, cheaper and seems to have all the same functions, also their is a rumor that the microsoft wheel is getting an update/upgrade so i would wait till you can find out for sure or it comes out. ive gotta get me a wheel, im begginning to get into the harder races with most settings set as difficult as they can go and its getting harder to use the joystick, and im not changing the settings a bit easier.

Not to hi-jack....

Alright. I know I am waaaaaaaay behind here, but work with me folks.

I bought GT4 Friday....it wasn't what I expected. It has some really cool cars, and it doesn't start off as slow as GT3, but man, what chitty game play. The one that gets me the most is, Concept cars cant be sold for cash. WTF?! Then why have them as race winnings? Also, I like to qualify before a race. It lets me know where I stand against the AI cars on the track with me. There is no qualifying.

Other than that, I liked a lot of the other stuff.... Car selection, hell, used cars for one thing. That's pretty sweet. I bought a Nissan Skyline GTS (4WD) to start with. That was a nice launch. Played the Sunday cup over and over and over until I could afford my Lightning.

Tracks...tons of really cool short tracks make for an exciting adventure, including my all time favorite, The High Speed Ring.

Looks like the Gran Turismo series is going in the wrong direction. If they don't step it up, Forza is going to rule the racing genre.
