Help Me Out

I ma the 2nd owner of my truck. I am wondering how I could verify the gear set I have. The guy before me did some towing and even had a hitch mounted on the front of the truck for better control.. i.e in tight spots etc. I have the tow package and was wondering if maybe he ordered the 3:73s or etc.

Look at the sticker on your drivers door jam. In one place it will say 'Axle' and there will be a code that corresponds to one of these....(number or letter/number on the left is the code)

There is also a tag on the rear axle that says, usually a little hard to read though...

Haha yeah. I dont even bother with a dealer because you can get a better answer from here than most any dealer
