Top 5 Boss battles
I've played and fought all of these except: Akuma from 'Karateka' (never heard of it till today).
My favorite 2 of the 5 are: Psycho Mantis from 'Metal Gear Solid' and the Hydra from God of War (AWESOME!).
Anyone else?

Yes.
Not to mention, he would read your memory card and mention other Konami games that you have saved on it.
He could read your mind as lond as you were in port 1 on the console....absolutely brilliant in my book.
F'n A! That was several notches above the norm back then....even today I guess!
Do you remember how you figured it out? Were there any hints....I can't recall. I'll think some more and post up if I remember how I figured it out.

It went right over my head
I spent HOURS trying to kill him, finally a friend of mine told about switching the controller.I also liked fighting that giant Indian (was he called Raven?) in that warehouse, crawling around setting up the claymores, the satisfying blast and hollerin' when he'd trip 'em.. lol
What console do most of ya'll play on? I haven't had a console since PS1 and this thread got me thinking I might wanna start playing some games.

Yeah, that was Raven. You fought him twice, once while he was in a tank, and the other in the warehouse. The warehouse battle was sweet too. I think I might have to dust off the GameCube and play The Twin Snakes (MGS remake).
Nothing compares to the Metal Gear Solid series, nothing. Hideo Kojima has an imagination, that's for sure.

I have many. PS, PS2, GameCube. The game mentioned above was for the Playstation, but was also remade for the GameCube after Metal Gear Solid 2: Sons of Liberty came out for the PS2. Snake has all the moves from MGS2 in The Twin Snakes, like hanging over rails, dragging and hiding victims, etc. The story is pretty much the same, with a couple of tweaks.
