LCD/DLP Projectors

Ok I REALLY want to get a projector. Looking at spending less than a grand on it. I basically need some pointers as what to look for in terms of a projector.

Mainly it's going to be used to watch the Rugby World Cup on so i want a high reso and a fast response time (do projectors even have a response time?).

After that it will only be used for movies and maybe gaming.

Any suggestions or advice?

Thanks guys.

I got a Optoma 70HD 720p DLP projector setup in my basement that displays a 6 foot tall image on a flat white wall. I got it from www.projectorpeople.com for a little under $800 plus they have bulb warranty's for $99 that covers 2 lamp replacements. Best deal I could find. Right now they have it on sale again but with a $200 rebate. It's extremely quite and looks fantastic.

In case your curious, to get a 1080p projector expect to spend $2500-$10,000. no joke.
