I found this old girl at a used car lot today. It's a 91 syclone w/73k miles.I would love to add this to my stable.The dealer wasn't around so I'm gonna go back tomorrow.His price is a kind of high but not ridiculous,$14950.Maybe he'll take a Grand National and some $$ in trade.

Those are hella nice trucks....BUT!! I know they're somewhat of a "rare" truck but come on, it costs more than the 11yr newer quad cab Dakota next to it? (that don't sound right...the price or my question )

 

until this one I haven't seen one for a while either.Those little things rip.Stock vs. stock they will beat a Lightning.Problem is there aren't any stock Lightnings. Lightnings are more mod friendly too.I wouldn't mod it too much anyway.Just an alcohol injection kit so I can crank the boost up a little.

 

Those trucks were quite fast in their day.........If you plan to buy it, make sure you do a car Fax, & check her out from stem to stern, especially the engine, I think that they have a turbo 4.3 v-6 if memory serves me right......

 

It probably should be about the same price as the Dodge.I'm gonna work on him. I have one bargaining tool.It looks like the tailgate has been repainted.

 

Yup,I'm gonna run a Carfax.I'm not too concerned with the paint on the tailgate as long as the tailgate was the only thing damaged.

hey are both of your GNs the ones with the speedometer that only goes to ****in 85?

 

All GNs T-Types and Turbo T's came from the factory with 85 mph speedos.GNXs came with 160 mph speedos.
One of my GNs has a 145 mph ovelay and recallibration.My GNX clone has a 160 mph GNX speedo.

The 85mph GN and T-Type speedos came in either digital or analog.The digital dashes can be sent away and have a chip put in so the speedo goes to 199.I had that on my first GN.

 

Man, that's awesome. I watched a typhoon make some runs on a 4 wheel dyno once. I was amazed.

Oh okay cuz i saw 3 GNs at a huge *** car show a couple weeks ago, 2 had the 85 analog, one had the 160, but i dont recall gnx badges. I know the one that had the 160 analog was not a fake one i think because it turned out that after the show when me and my dad sat in our driveway watched all the cars go home the 160 one turned around in our driveway and definitly didnt sound like a fake one.

 

Yeah most people who do performance mods to GNs also change the ridiculous 85mph speedometer.It sucks when you run out of speedometer in the 1/8 mile. Quite a few people put reproduction GNX dashes in their GNs and T-Types.The one you saw was prolly a GN with a repro GNX dash.

 

Nassty, just curious, what do those GN's run in the quarter??
