So this is only suppose to work if the subject stares directly into the bulb?

Between that and sound wave types, I suppose they want better non-lethal or non-injury products. Just like tasers killing people, so have rubber bullets and bean bag bullets.

Now taser, or bean bag, or rubber bullets.... I'm going to disperse and leave!

Or see them swing the billy club.I have seen tests of the sound wave types. It doesn't seem to matter much if you cover your ears or not. It has a physical affect on your whole body.

Those things will blind you in broad day light.
If it is nausea you want the target to feel, just knee them in the bread basket, costs a lot less! Or force your thumb onto their Adam's apple(guess wont work on gals) and press up hard!
If this flashlight had no effect with the LEDs, is it hard and stout enough to knock someone over the head?
Don't you just love how Homeland security gave this company a contract on a "safe" weapon. What ever happened to behind-the-shed **** whooping? And if the target has a gun, you better have one too! Because what if he doesn't miss?
I would think if you are not prone to motion sickness or the like, this device might have little effect on you other than annoyance.

I seriously doubt the flashlight would do anything other than annoy me. If someone is pointing a gun at me, the very last thing I want to do is risk annoying them.

don't blame homeland security. Blame trial lawyers, aclu, and any other liberal group you can for sueing the bejesus out of any one using "excessive force" to subdue your local scumbag. That is where all this non leathal stuff started. Start beating on the perps that are caught red handed or putting up a fight, I bet there would be less crime.

You are absolutely correct. This PR effort that our gov has undertaken has in fact undermined our safety and security. It seems every day the bad guy gets more rights and the good guy loses them.
If a scumbag enters my home uninvited, it will be up to him to call the police!
