It's time for a new ATV.. And I really love the looks of the new 2008 Kawasaki Brute Force 750 4x4i in red of course... Anyone have this ATV? or any other of the big bore ATVs? And if so, do ya wish you would have went with something else? I'm comming out of a Kawasaki bayou 300. So, I really don't know what to expect with this new monster!! Thanks..

I have one with over 5000 miles. No troubles with it. I would buy the same machine again.

the new EFI brute is going to be nasty. Its already a beast that efi is just going to make it sweeter. Its not my favorite bike because of the locker. Really just go drive one see how you like it. Personally I like the Arctic Cats, I have already put a deposit down for the Thunder Cat 950cc. Really just go to your local dealerships and drive them see which one fits you the best.

As mentioned that kawi is a great bike. I see them out where I ride quite a bit, infact even rode with a couple today, and they did great. What kind of trails do you mostly ride? Alot of mud and uneven surfaces? Water crossings? Depending on what you mostly ride you may want to look into some other brands, but that is a great all around bike

The skids on my Brute are Ricochet brand. Here is a better shot of them...

I ride the trails over there every Spring, and will be over again this fall. Not exactly sure on the date just yet. Maybe for Trail Fest in October.

Here is a pic of my 750 pulling out my buddys Honda on the H/M trails....

Kinda ATV's for very different riding styles. If the terrain is harsh nothing is better than the Arctic Cat. Nothing will handle though like the Can-Ams. The new thunder cat is said to be the fastest 0-50 of any ATV made, but as soon as the trail turns it wont be able to hang with the Can-Am.

FX4,
For the riding your mentioning that bike will be perfect. As said a couple guys I ride with have them, some running 27" tires and they all do very well. Also seem to be extremely reliable, never seen one limping back to camp.
Good luck with the purchase and post pictures

That would be my choice hands down.. The 08's also have a lot of suspension improvements as well.

I don't believe power steering should be on an ATV. It sounds great till it breaks waaaaay in the woods and about 2 days away from the trucks. When it breaks you have no steering. ATVs take a pounding not not like our trucks and plus atvs only go places trucks dream of which would make it hell to get an atv out of the woods.

It sounds like a great idea but thats what Im a afraid of happening. I could be over reacting though

I don't know if y'all saw it but I started this thread yesterdayhttps://www.f150online.com/forums/sh...d.php?t=296187

I would say go with a Brute Force like Red and I. I have the 650 and Red has the 750. Awesome machines, definitely the best I have ridden out of all the quads. Used to have a Rincon and have ridden most of the new Hondas, Arctic Cat's 700, and the Polaris 800; Kawi still beats those hands-down. I am interested in riding the Can Am 800 though, have yet to have that opportunity, but hear it's an absolute beast. Good luck with your decision.

My choice would be a Yamaha Grizzly 700, but then again I am great friends (actually both of them are going to be in my wedding) with the head mech. and also the sales manager at our local Yamaha dealer.

As for the power steering, I wasn't too fond of it either until I used my buddies to plow his driveway. With the front diff lock on and a 60" plow hanging off it the Grizzly turned like a Caddy. Plus the system seems to be pretty darn good, they just took a 07 Grizzly in on trade trade with over 2000 miles and the power steering had never been touched. Todd, the mechanic said that he has yet to have to replace one that has worn out.
