I'm bringing this thread back from the dead, but just wanted to show what I ended up doing. I ended up contracting out a bricklayer to do the work for me. It took him about 3 days with about 2-3 people working on it most of that time, so I feel like I got my money's worth. Makes my back patio look a lot nicer and hopefully we can spend some quality time out there this spring and summer.

Here it is, before I removed some of the plastic that they left over it.

Looks flippin beautiful compared to before. Well worth the $$$ (I'm sure). I bet you have a whole new outlook and motivation to do somethiong else back there now!

Looks good! Now make a small sitting area or something where ya can sit outside and enjoy your new steps and sitting area.

Looks great!! Glad you re-constructed the steps rather than throw 6x6 PT timbers in there....

Bet it makes it alot easier now getting back there to tend the still!!
