thats actually a Whippet with a genetic disorder that caused it to develop double muscles....very freaky...but I'd still want the pit's stubborness....thats why they have the rep of "locking" their jaws....they just wont let go...no matter how hard you beat them...

All dogs are designer dogs. People have been breeding dogs into what they want or need for thousands of years.

The breeder I got my Red Nose bulls from had a blue that was 140lbs.It was huge but it had breathing issues and joint problems. He said it was a fluke and he would not sell it to any one as flukes tend to have medical issues. But the bad guys in philly breed them to over 100 pounds all the time. They think it makes them cool or some thing.

yeah, if you'd look at those pictures on the website..all those dogs are panting while chained up...so you know they havent been running and playing...

I have 2 pits, and the oldest (male) is 56lbs....FAT!

my female is about 35lbs but she's a pup and hasnt put on muscle yet..still lean...

I have 3 Red Nose all female. They are all normal size around 50 pounds.Been some great dogs.Had them 4 years and they are alot of fun and very people based. They wont leave you alone they want to play or try to sit in your lap.The best part is a 7 year old cat runs the animals around here. The cat will walk up and start eating out of the dogs dish and the dog just backs off.I keep a close eye on them and check the fence every day but I trust them as they have never given me a reason not to.

mine are the same way...all they want to do is be loved..I dont leave them outside as I enjoy my conditioned air, and I would like my dogs to enjoy the same...

Friends have a Whippet. It cruises like a normal dog and then hits it's turbo speed and you can't quite believe your eyes. Might be faster than a Greyhound in confined spaces like a back yard.

I would still much rather have a Giant Pit Bull! Can you imagine your dinner guest's eyes when you let it root around in the living room after drinks?
