I'm 3 pages late, and I realized something.......

If you guys keep at it, you'll make a weekend without any boogers.

Practice makes perfect.

I never did hear you say if it ran out better with the new plugs or not. Had to have the ones you had were shot. I don't know how it had started anytime with those.

ETA:
I wonder if that will take care of that occasional jolt you had....
End Edit

You also saw what shape that old prop I had to slap on it looked like. Originally 14.25x17P now about 12x(?? your guess is as good as mine.)

Naw, we are boating with 30+ year old boats, and most of all they are boats, things happen, it's just part of it. It's not a cheap or easy hobby, but sooo fun.

I am talking about going to Z's and boating in the river with him one weekend after I get mine fixed. Smart money would be on that I rip the lower unit plumb off, I've never had a power boat on the river, and I set low in the water. Z's gotten hung up on stumps before and busted a hole in his... I set another foot or more lower.

The other plugs weren't as bad... but still scary looking. And you've seen my prop too... It's been ramped a time or three before. :o

That's cause I was helping out a confused old man in a huge cuddy cabin, and was less than 8' from the shore in an area I had never been before. I know where the trouble spots are where we'd be boating at... There are MUCH bigger boats on the river than yours... You'll see a few LOTO sized boats every now and then (houseboats, cruisers, etc.)

Like I said no one gets hurt and you have memories, great stories to tell for the rest of your life and loads of fun. These are the times when charecter gets tested and we were laughing, making jokes the entire time we were bailing water. I'd say we passed!

Very true. Even when stuff goes wrong, we're still laughing having fun.

Well, as long as you can wade to shore, I think you could have survived the sinking of the boat...
