Possibly returning to the ford camp.

After owning a Jeep for the last 15months, I'm trying to get back in a F-150. Does anybody feel good bad or indifferent about a F-150 s/c with a 5.4ltr engine 4wd and the 7700lb and mileage of 74500 miles. Thanks

What year? Mine is an 06 7700 s/c 4wd long bed and I love it. The only thing that sucks is the 7 lug axles but I can live with that

If I were buying that high mileage of a truck, I might be tempted to negotiate a deal that included having the current owner take it in to his dealer for a plug change prior to sale -- and make sure you get the used plugs......

I'd also take into account what kind of receipts the guy has for the vehicle showing that he has kept up with some kind of reasonable preventative maintenance program......

The price dont seem too bad depending on what options it has. Figure they prolly gave about 9-10k for it

That can't be right...how the hell can it be the extra heavy duty package with 7 lug axles and NOT have a trailer hitch? I would almost be scared it had a rear-end accident and the hitch wasn't replaced...

Sounds sketchy to me- anyone think that's odd?

I agree. I can't imagine it wouldn't have had a trailer hitch. I would do a Carfax on it to check for prior accidents.

Well I did it,traded the Jeep in for F-150 last night. The dealer ran the Carfax and came up clean.I forgot how much room and comfortable the seats are.

With 75K, it's just getting broken in. And lots of people take off their trailer hitches before they trade in thier trucks.
