Thumbs up Jeep JT (Jeep Truck) concept

This is a bad looking little truck. I would rather have one of these than a plain Jeep. Little extra lift and some bigger rubber and that would be a bad **** little ride.

A company called AEV makes a conversion kit called the Brute. The brute has been around for some years, but I think the do it yourself kit is new. http://www.aev-conversions.com/

My Dad had a Comanche. It was pretty stout off-road, or so I hear from my older brother that took it off-road when my Dad was out of town

I had the opportunity to see one first hand at the Pittsburgh Auto Show in Februaury this year....

TOTALLY AWESOME!

Although the pick-up box is esentially useless to haul much, it is a VERY cool looking ride!

My dad had a JT in the 70's, I still remember riding shot gun going snow plowing with him!

And in my teens I owned a very nice Comanche Eliminator, 5 speed 4.0L short bed with 30x9.5 BFG MT's, man that thing would go anywhere!

Anyways, here is a pic I took of the concept truck, enjoy!

I'd rather see a Jeep truck (Keep the Comanche name) based off of the Grand Cherokee or Commander, not the Wrangler. Or maybe both. Small truck based off the Wrangler, and then a full-size truck.

Of course, they'd probably just throw a Hemi in it and it would just be another Dodge Ram, only with little round Wrangler headlights....

i would bet money that if they actually do this, that they will use the jeep 4dr platform and make a longer bed with a ext cab as an option.

I like the one in the artical better then the concept picture taken, the one in the article looks more military type.
