Last time I was in Moab in my rented jeep I buried it up to the floor boards in quick sand. Never really ran into anything like it, but now I know it is out there. Cost me little over three grand for there deductable but lucky after some fighting with my ins company I recovered most of it. But was still a blast. Besides that, the guy at Archway rental told me some of the stories of how their jeeps don't make it back and made me feel a little better. Great place to be though for off roading
