Intrepids were everywhere !!! The Hell ?!?!?!?!

OK, left the Hinterland today and I've got to know what the heck was going on. All throughout Kansas in the ENTIRE state, in Missouri, and also Oklahoma, for the three weeks I was running around there, I must have seen THOUSANDS of Dodge Intrepids. No joke, no exaggeration. It's like the mid-west is where every Intrepid ever made has come to die.

But, weirder still, a good number of them looked brand new, as if they had just rolled off the showroom floor. Like this one across the street from a friend's house:

It looked no more than a day old.

Thousands of them . . . everywhere (along with its cousins, the Chrysler Concorde and Eagle Talon).

Anyone know why so many of one old discontinued model is gathered in one general location?????

A gov't conspiracy, no doubt. Makes the phrase, "Get the heck out of Dodge (City, that is) all the more truthful.

Travel just a little farther north into Iowa and/or Southern Minnesota and all you'll see will be retired, gray-haired farm couples tooling around in Buick LeSabres.....

IF they were Roadmasters or Park Avenues then you'd have something!

By the way . . . watch it with the gray-haired thing . . . some of us are touchy about that.

The Roadmasters were so big that we called them "Boatmasters." I too, have grey hair (what I have left, that is) but, while I could retire, I ain't gonna. Not too self-conscious about what hair I have or what color it is...

You should see my 5-day shadow right now -- calling it "salt-and-pepper" would be putting it kindly......

Looking at that Intrepid reminds me of "Men in Black." Mr. Kobi---you are not seeing any ginormous insects around there, are you?

Some are from Sector 7 to uncover an alien artifact that is buried under your house. The rest are all autobots and decepticons that were all to lazy to scan a different car and they are all watching you. If you dig any deeper they'll be after you.

Are you kidding me?!?!?! Bugs everywhere! And just after sunset they come out in droves!!!!! Speaking of Buicks, there were skeeters the size of Buicks that would bite and suck out 8 pints of blood in less than a second. One night we had dinner out on a friends front porch and I got bitten alive. I've got skeeter bites on my skeeter bites!!!!!

(There are lightning bugs too!!!!! Which is so cool. Brought back many a childhood memory).

Spiders the size of dump trucks, and those damn cicadas which register at about 500 dbs.

Bugs . . . . yeah, there were bugs . . . .

Lots of them around here too; pretty popular car.

Local police departments love to use them around here too. I shat myself any time Im speeding and see a dark colored Intrepid coming at me. Brake pedal to the floor...

When i renewed my license last year for color of hair I put 'Brown' just like I've always done.

The lady at the DMV pointed to it on the application and said, "Sir, you're going to have to fix that." :o

I'm past 50% gray now.

There was nothing about 'hair color' there.
It was just a blank line so I wrote 'TWO'.
