Super Fast Tundra is on the road.

Cruised by Toyota of Dallas, and saw that "SVT"ized Tundra on the lot. They had it up on a pedestal, so I couldn't make out the sticker- and didn't hang out long enough to speak to a salesman. In a word, awesome. Looks like a Tougher Ram SRT-10. The shadow it would cast on the ground would be very similar.
I'm sure whatever the MSRP would be, will be marked up at least 10 - 20% unless Toyota puts its foot down. If memory serves, that thing is supposed to have 480 - 500 HP.

In other news, Ford has moved up the launch of the new F-150 from late 2009, to late 2008 (up a full year), after the latest volley's from Toyota and GM. Dodge is putting the finishing touches on the new Ram as well, it too will drop late 2008, early 2009. No word on whether the new F-150 will be a 2008, or a 2009 model. (Good money is on 2009, seeing that it's mid-July already).
Also, the 6.2L Hurricane engine is back into consideration, according to Motor Trend Editors, as are V6 diesel options.
Truck Wars continue...

Oh, and how could I forget...
Ford (for now) plans to bring the SVT F-150 back, with the release of the new model. No word as to whether it will be in the same model year, or later... It would be really cool if Ford brought all the hot s**t, to the market, at the same time...
FX-4, FX-2, Lariat, King Ranch, Harley Davidson (SuperCrew), and SVT.

I feel ya Stealth. I've never gone above "XLT 4.6L" on the truck. Did go full tilt on the Expy though, and snagged the Eddie Bauer 5.4L- which was top of the line, at the time...
My 2000 Expy was an XLT "Sport" which had the leather seats, etc... The badges on the front say "Eddie Bauer"...
I guess that was a mistake...

The front still looks like a whale. I'm a little drunk right now though.
The rest of the truck looks good though.
