USPS mail here is fine. Just because it is screwed up elsewhere doesn't mean the system is flawed. Just like Fema. The local gov't has to ask for Fema assistance before Fema can respond. DMV works fine here.

Once the war in iraq is over this country will recover financially, I just hope a democrat isn't in office to take all the credit when the country makes a financial rebound, that would be a complete shame.

There are PLENTY of flawed programs that we prop up
Does that make it ok to "prop up" more flawed programs?

You are making my point. Why not try to work on the stuff we already have before we allow the government to have control of more aspects of our lives.

We don't need the government mandating that we use a certian kind of light bulb, epecially when there isn't enough information being disseminated about how to porperly dispose of them. It seems that there are a lot, perhaps a majority, of people using these compact florecents, that aren't aware that they contain mercury.

A program where the government is responsible for curing the planet of it's fever is extremely flawed. It should never come to fruition.

You can go dispose them at your local Ikea. They have a compoact flourescent recycling system. I don't think it's frugal for me to drive to my local Ikea to dispose of the burned out compact flourescent light bulbs since they are over 80 miles away. That wouldn't be very "green" of me.
