I get to work at the E3 convention

So I scored a sweet job working the E3 convention.

It used to be a huge expo for the public but now is just for companies and investors to try out their latest stuff....

Hopefully Ill get to test drive some new games... like Halo3 and others.

What are the elements of the Summit?

The Summit consists of:

Press conferences held by both console companies and third parties
Private, in-suite meetings with leading game company executives
A software showcase at nearby Barker Hangar where attendees will be able to casually test drive featured video games
Serious Games and Independent games showcases at Barker Hangar
An exhibition of winning art from the "Into The Pixel" video game art competition

What types of companies will be participating?
Companies involved in console, PC, online, and mobile game publishing and developing, as well as makers of video game hardware and peripherals will be eligible to participate.

Who will be attending?
Members of the media, retail, development and financial communities will attend, along with other key industry contacts. Between 3,000 and 4,000 people are expected to attend.

Actually I believe the original E3 was a huge convention for game industry employees, no public.

They killed it after last year and now it is really scaled down, a fraction of its former self.

Still cool though.

its very very scaled down, some portions taking place at hotels, and the rest is taking place at our hanger. Apparently having the public there didnt make it cost effective and did not allow other companies to closely examine the new games.

We have a sweet satellite to connect to our DS3 backbone. Ill take some pictures and let you know the best new games.

Here are some quick camera phone pictures. The place is starting to shape up.
In the 2nd picture you can see the 2 and 3 screen kiosks.

Console, PC and psp... Some vendors brought in some kick **** alienware machines...

So far checked out some shooter game that looks amazing!! EA Games has some nascar sweet looking game, amazing graphics. Tiger Woods 08 has the ability to upload your photo to it, so your created character looks exactly like you. Microsoft has a new age of empires III addon. Turoks there, didnt see what THQ had or a bunch of other ones.

I should have more info on the rest of the games tomorrow as thats when the events in full form.
