Fred Thompson.

Everybody, who is currently running, sucks.

Troy Aikman dated her too.

But until he runs for office, Fred would get my vote.

First of all, I don't have infinite wisdom, or knowledge for that matter. And evidently I'm not up on all current events . . . for example, I have no idea who this Lorrie Morgan is, who has been repeatedly named in this thread. (By the way, no need for you lovers of female country music stars to chime in and inform me of who she is . . . I just looked her up ) . . . (and by the way, looks-wise she's nothing to get excited about . . . but if that's what it take to get you votes . . . )

Good for you! Keep that attitude. Seriously. It certainly can't hurt.

Hopefully not.

The way one might view things in the past or the present moment is not to be confused with possible outcomes in the future. While one may have a pessimistic world view, it does not mean that person has no hope or has thrown in the towel. In my case, note what I wrote . . . "The citizens are not represented. They never have been and most likely never will be."

The outcome is not guaranteed. There is always hope. I'm just saying, based on how it has always been, the future is unlikely to change. However, that doesn't mean it can't.

So keep up the positive thoughts and energy and make it happen, prove me wrong. I'd be thrilled to see it happen.

I think every one concerned with Hillary C. being elected president is wasting their time.

The mainstream media had no reason, or desire, to delve into the shady dealings in her past - at least not to the extent they deserve - as long as she was First Lady or an immigrant senator from NY.

Just let her be nominated by the Democrats, face the full power of the dollars to be spent by an opposing Republican campaign. If you thought that "swift boat" stuff was brutal, you've seen nothing.

Oh, the scoops to be had! Shady deals with the Chicago exchange! The real-estate scams! Her relationship with Vince Foster! The very weird ways that critics of her and Bill seem to die!

Yes, those have all been reported on to some extent. But there is more there and it will all be brought out. And even if it's not all true, it will be enough.

I'd sure cast my one vote for Ron Paul, but he'll never be nominated. He's too real for the establishment. So I'm hoping for Fred Thompson.

No. Not even close to mostly. I think your political bias is showing just a bit...

Hardly. The people have more power than you give credit to. Lately we have been loathe to exercise that power. Not like those that created the first unions in this country, or those proponents of women's suffrage, or the civil rights movement. The unions will only ever be toppled when they are not capable of delivering a steady stream of cash and political support for their party of choice. Or when that party is incapable of protecting them. If you'll notice above, they represent the lions share of contribution through PAC's; and, most of the money the donate is aimed heavily at one party.

When you consider the age difference, his age, his looks, and the fact that she doesn't need his money, she's a hell of a catch. Not my type; but, I can see she's attractive in her way.
