The griffon doesn't look bad... look at the fat guy he doesnt blink an eye, shows no emotion what so ever. Not once did it look to take him by surprise! The chick was scared climbing the hill so she dont count.

INSANITY...... I would do it just to say I done it, but I do have a fear of hitting the ground at terminal velocity....... That one might tap on that nerve slightly.

Yup, going up is worse than going down. IMO.

Thats the boring part for me, as I hear the click of the chain as it rolls up, I always think to myself. "If that chain broke, we'd go carreening back down the hill out of control and we'd get to ride this coaster backwards!!!!!"

As we near the crest I am almost hoping for it to break!!!

Thats the only thing that makes that part fun for me.

LOL . . its exactly the opposite for me. Sure its fun going down the rollercoaster but I know whats going to happen. They should make us go backwards now thatd be cool.

They should make one where the first hill is hidden from view and you go up thinking your going to ride, but the first hill is actually just the ramp to drop you backwards. Have speakers set up at the top to make a just as you reach it you hear (CLICK SNAP) sound and then you go careening backwards!!!!

Maybe only do it backwards like 1 out of 5 times or something... maybe even a random sequence of 10.... may go backwards twice in a row or may not do it until the 10th time, make people want to ride it again and again becasue you never know whats going to happen.......

Hmm, there is a roller coaster manufacturer about 2 hours away from here, maybe I should approach them with this idea.

Yea random is better.

Kings Dominion in Richmond VA did it to the Rebel Yell. It is an old wooden racing coaster. They flipped the one track so one car is forward one is backward. I actually thing forward is still better on this coaster.

yea but you knew which car you were getting into.
It's the elimenate of surprise that I like about the idea.

I do like forward facing too, only because backwards is like closing your eyes, it takes 1/2 the trill out of it not seeing what danger is appraoching or that you are in.

damn that griffon looks sweet.

i bet it feels higher than 90 degrees goin down.

The closest thing we have to that here in WNY at darien lake is the Superman ride of steel.

not sure what kinda degrees that first big drop is, but it feels like youre goin almost straight down even tho youre not.

Not the most fun ride there IMO, but the craziest.

edit: just found out its 68 degrees and top speed is 73 MPH.

go ride Kingda Ka or Top Thrill Dragster .. they don't always make it over the hill the first time .. and then go back down backwards, then they try again.

a couple of years ago .. Top Thrill Dragster got high centered and stopped .. at the top .. 425 feet in the air .. some guy had to ride the elevator up, then give it a push to send it on down .. lol ..
