This thing scares the crap out of me now, you can be cruising at around 50mph, put it in 3rd and lay the hammer down and the tires will melt off! Turbo sounds like a jet engine right next to your ear and it is only at 7psi right now

i want to see the times it is getting
One of my mother-in-law's neighbors just bought a GT500. That thing is sick, and the first one I've ever seen in person.
You guys really got me thinking about a Mustang. But, if I get one, it'll be the regular GT. It'll still be the fastest car I've ever owned, and the first true sports car.
Oh yeah- what I was goign to mention is, if you still want custom wheels, but you want them lightweight, look into getting some Centerline wheels. Their wheels are typically lighter than the factory wheels, and far lighter than most aftermarket manufacturers, while being equally strong.
I had these 20's on my 2001 F-150, and they were 23 lbs per wheel, if memory serves. I'm sure a 17 or 18 for your stang will be even lighter.

I'm going to keep the Foose wheels on there atleast for now because they look so good. I know they are holding me back about 15-20rwhp but hey, the car still lights them up in 3rd
By the way, if you do get a stang... Make sure you get a 5speed with 3.55 rear end. Your first mod should be intake with custom 93oct. tune, you will be right around 300rwhp

the new mustang is a really good solid car, a lot of people(ricers) underestimate it cause some past mustang GTs haven't been as fast, but when i am in my friends car and he has only lost to a corvette(not by much though) all those ricers shut up, im dumbfounded when i hear them say "the mustang is slow" reassures the fact that most of them don't know **** about cars
oh and you mentioned how dropping it into third is a rush....from being in the passenger seat it feels like nothing you have ever felt in a car before(unless you have driven stuff 4 times the price) just to say that i love shift shock!!
i was actually thinking about getting a black GT with a manual, but i will wait until they have to drop a bigger motor into it when the new Camaro comes out which is ugly

I doubt that the Mustang gets too much bigger any time soon. Maybe a 5.0l 350hp motor in the next model? Imagine that thing blown

Not as built as you'd think. . some internals but nothing that big of a deal. The article was in a Mustang magazine a while back. It was a sleeper project. The supercharger they used wasn't street legal but that wouldn't be a problem here in Florida, gotta love not having inspections!
