Bird trying to get into my truck

So I look outside this morning and see a bird sitting on my mirror. For 5 minutes I watched him jump off and try to fly through the window then get back on the mirror. Then another bird flies onto my antenna and takes a shot at my windsheild.

I have that happen to the windows on my house. They fly right into it. Why? Limo Tinted windows. I've got the silver stuff on my house windows. They will consistantly sit at the ledge and keep flying into the windows. They either see their reflection or else they see the reflected image of the world outside.

I've been woken up many times from the "BANG"... it's a PITA. But the look it gives my house is awesome... not to mention the heating/cooling savings.

Most times it's a territorial thing from seeing their own reflection in the glass.

We had the same problem at work. Anyone that parked in a particular spot would have a song sparrow sit on their side mirror (always on the passeneger side) all day and do what birds do best. He never attacked his reflection, it just seemed like he enjoyed looking at himself. Or maybe it was a she. Anyways we gave him his own mirror to solve the problem.

at the valvoline i work at, we had all the doors with the windows down but one when a bird flew in, paniced and slammed into one door, turned slammed into another and snaped its neck...it was sad, yet kinda funny.
