Usually, but they do offer longer loans cause the banks can make more money off interest then. I was offered a 4 year loan on my truck. I told them to make it a 2 year loan.

And Zap paid his truck off in 3 years...

I can understand how you got approved, I just meant I would not want to have debt on a 7 year old truck when you are so young.

Congo rats Zap!

Feels great eh? I paid mine off in just over 2 years, but it's kinda like quitting smoking in the sense you don't notice the extra money, because you just use it on something else anyway.

It's not like every month you go "oh wow, what should I do with this extra $500?"..... cuz it just goes into the void of darkness, LOL

Way to go man.

I got 5 years of $402.00 payments on $22k at like 5.24% interest. Ford wasn't offering 0% interest at the time or they just don't do that on a used truck.

What are the payments on a $40k truck for 4 years? $833 if you're lucky and got 0% interest and i still couldn't remotely afford that. I could drop nearly all my current features I have on this used ride and get down in the $30k range still paying $600+ for a 4 year loan.

I love buying quality used cars a couple years old and saving like $20k lol

They gave me 1.9% @66months. I rolled over 2,500 from my 03 FX4 Ranger and walked out for 32,000. Sticker on my truck was 35,900

I didn't take out a loan for the entire truck. I paid cash for over 50% of the truck. Just a small loan on it to establish some more credit for myself.
