2nd Anniversary

So, our 2nd anniversary is coming up and I'm baffled about this whole traditional gift thing... cotton?
Aside from lingerie, what should I get?

Has anyone heard of creative 2nd anniversary gift ideas while sticking to the traditional cotton theme???

Any help is appreciated!!!

Iv'e never heard of the cotton theme tradition. Can you explain that to me?

I try sneaky ways to try and find out what my girlfriend wants as a gift. What i mean is i will take her to the mall and i will go to a jewlery store or where ever she likes to shop and pretending to look at a new watch or something for myself and wait until something catches her eye and then i remember it and come back another day.

Last anniversary i took her to the mall because i needed to fix my watch and she practically drooled over a pair of diamond earrings. Came back the next day and bought her those earrings.

What I have learned over the years in selecting a gift:
Being creative is good however, not creative in that your buddies get a laugh.
Creative in that she brags to her friends about how bright and thoughtful you are.

Wel, my wife has already informed me that she's following the cotton thing... and she seems pretty excited about the gift she got me...
I've got a reputation for creative gifts, so I've got to keep that up. It's just that this cotton thing has got me!

If tradition says Cotton, you have to stick with cotton. It's the perfect excuse to be cheap.

How about going out and dropping some coin on some nice, high thread count, Egyptian cotton bed sheets? While I admit it's totally gay for a guy to go look for such a thing, it sounds as if you might be up for it?!
