FedEx

I hate them. It's amazing that they are still in business. I'm going to request all my packages to be sent UPS, even if it costs me a few dollars more.

I ordered a S&B CAI through www.inmotionperf.com and he sent it out ASAP. I got the tracking number everything was great. I left Friday at 7:00 to go on vacation for the weekend. I waited and waited for the package but they never show up. I call up InMotionPerf.com and see what was going on with it since I had a friend go by and check to see if it was there. The tracking information says that they tried to drop it off at 5:30 but no one was home, bullcrap, and it'd be delivered Monday. Thats fine. I wait today for it all day, thinking that maybe they needed a signature. Finally I checked the tracking information again and it says Incorrect Address. I'm thinking to myself what the hell, the address is from my PayPal account so it can't be wrong. I call FedEx directly and they tell me the address and it's the correct address. So they try to call our station but apparently no one answers the phones there. . So I just need to call back tomorrow. It just pisses me off how UPS can do it right every single time but FedEx can always screw something up.

UPS is the only way to go, FedEx takes a year and a day to do anything.

I dont know about UPS, but FedEx, Purolator and DHL use 3rd party airlines to ship some of their stuff.

As a Fedex guy, I have to say I'm sorry you've had a bad experience. There's no excuse for coding a pkg as a bad address when it's clearly correct. Also no excuse for a station not answering the damned phone. Very bad customer service.

If you paid for the shipping then definitely get your money back. If it was Fedex's fault, sounds like it is, then that's what our money back guarantee is for. I'd ask that once you get the package that you take a look at what the shipper entered as your address. Is the zip code correct? Is your address complete and accurate on the shipping label? The station I work at gets literally hundreds of packages a day with bad zips / inaccurate addresses. 95% are from the shipper entering bad info when they print out the labels / fill out the airbills. The other 5% are Fedex's fault. So it does happen.

Bear in mind that we are instructed to not leave packages that may be of high value (like over $200 or so) without getting a signature. It's usually the couriers call to decide whether to leave it or not. Coding it as a bad address when it isn't is unacceptable though.

I hope they get your CAI to you ASAP, and either you or the shipper should ask for the shipping charges to be refunded.

I know none of this helps, just sayin'..
