DVD photo slideshow software?

Just about every piece of software that does DVD creation of videos will also do slide shows. Sony Vegas Movie Studio, Nero, Roxio EMC and the others will do them. You will get different answers as to what is best. I happen to own all 3 I mentioned, but use the Sony software for all my video editing and DVD creation.

If you frequent photography web site they will all preach Proshow Gold from Photodex. I tried it. I hated it. Well, actually, it did everything I wanted it to do. The price was around $100. I only had the trial version.
Now....If you have a Win XP SP2 machine, you should have all you need. Look around in your programs for Windows Movie Maker. It does a great job, and it is all I use anymore. It was free with my computer and works good.

What they suggested if you want the slideshow to play in a DVD player like a movie.
If you just want a slideshow you can view on a browser get the XP Powertoy Slideshow Generator. It's free too. Create it and then burn it to a DVD or CD.
