Mounting a flat screen on the wall...

Who has mounted a flat screen on a wall? I bought the wall mount kit. What did you do with the cables/wires and satellite box (if you have one)? I want a clean look. I'm going to run the cables/wires in the wall, but don't know were to mount/put the satellite box. Any ideas or pics of your setup?

FYI... I'm mounting a 42" plasma in my bedroom.

Most TV places should sell some sort of cabinet, get an RF remote to run everything, wires up the wall.

I mounted one over my fireplace. Luckily I had an electrical outlet right where the TV is. The HDMI cable is fairly small and I just sort of routed it between the bricks. I think it turned out okay, I might try to get some pics up later.

edited to add pic:

I have a 40" lcd in my bedroom, I mounted the sat box up in the attic and ran a hdmi from it to the tv. I had to add a remote control extender to be able to control the sat box with my remote, if you have a box that uses uhf for remote control you will not need the extender..

I mounted a small 15" on the kitchen wall but it wasn't much of a challenge. The stand on it flipped up for wall mounting and the laundry room is on the other side of the wall so I just mounted, drilled a hole beside it and ran the cables through the wall. There's a cabinet on the wall behind it also so the wiring runs across the top of that and down the side in the corner so you don't see any of it from that side either. Hooked straight to cable so didn't have to worry about cable or sat box. Came out clean enough looking for me. I know it's a small but we only use it for watching news in the mornings and evenings.
Yours looks like a nice clean install too lrhogfan.

2 questions. What in the world were you watching? Also, wouldn't the heat from the attic ruin the sat box after a short time? Heat and humidity and electronics are never a good combination.

Thanks for the replies...

Tuff4rd - I really like that setup. So you are not worried about the heat in the attic? How long have you had it like this? How much did the remote extender cost you?

Again thanks...

Im not to worried about the heat..I was just a little worried about the box being close to the insulation, thats why I made that small shelf a little tall.. The remote extender was $40 at Radio Shack..
