I prefer NASCAR hands down, but I must admit I really long for the days when they busted out the windows, tore out the interior, and ran the car the way Detroit made it........

Indy Car and F1 rock.

I am watching the Canadian Grand Prix as I type.

(Holy Crap!!!! Robert Kubica just had a horrendous crash!!!!! I can't see how he survived that. Hope he'll be OK.)

What I find funny is when people make fun of Nascar turning left, but yet they love drag racing which doesn't turn at all.

I personally dont understand the entertainment value of a 5 second race

I cant watch either one with out going to sleep!

The only reason I would "watch" anything would be to see how they are setting thier toys up or watch for operating tricks so I could apply that to mine.

I thought that the IRL was predominantly oval races & CART (I think it's Champ Car now) was predominantly road courses. I could be wrong as the only open wheel race I watch is the Indianapolis 500.

How much HP do the "Indy" type cars have? I think it's around 850.

I prefer NASCAR over all the others. You can lean, beat and bang and not end your day as in open wheel. NASCAR cars make around 850 HP also.

did any of you see the F1 today. a pretty big wreck, hitting the wall at 150mph.

The choice between Indy or NASCAR is a no brainer..... NASCAR and if it a a road course that makes it even more interesting because they get to turn left and RIGHT lol. Personally, I like to watch the races at Watkins Glen, Bristol and the other short tracks.
Now my favorite type of racing is DIRT, World of Outlaws sprint cars. Nothing is better than sitting in the stands on a Saturday night with a cold beer in one hand and the other hand empty so that you can wipe the dut from the track off from you.

let me know how that goes for you today...

NASCAR all the way....ever since I attended my first race 3 years ago, I have been hooked. I schedule my weekend duties around the races..even listen to the scanner on NASCAR.com to see why my favorite driver keeps getting lapped....

oh, and how funny was it yesterday when on the frontstretch bone dry, back stretch monsoon...
