Eat Me, Drink Me
Well, I'll letcha all know about the new MM CD tomorrow. I'll probably pick it up on the way home tonight... Yes, I read his book, and no I don't think too highly of him, but I don't generally care about any entertainer. I like their work, and I don't care to know or see ANYTHING about them. Not sure why I read the book...
Just for the record I liked the new Nails CD, Type O Negative let me down, and Ozzy well, kinda did too...
BTW, how can B&R have a Greatest Hits after 2 CD's. Isn't that a little arrogant? Don't get me wrong Horse of a Different color is a great album and gets play time in collection, but come on...
And Kenny Chesney has bored the crap out of me ever since his second album...
My favorite POP country has got to be Brooks & Dunn, and I miss Sawyer Brown... ooh, Diamond Rio would be a strong second to B&D!
BTW, on my desk right now I have:
TON - Dead Again
Michael 2-leaf Meadows - Painted Sky (traditional Native American flute, VERY good)
Winger - Best of
Tim McGraw - Greatest Hits
Dokken - Best of
Los Lonely Boys - LLB
Korn - See you on the other side
NIN - Every day is exactly the same (single)

You never even call me by my name.
You don't have to call me Waylon Jennings
And you don't have to call me Charlie Pride.
You don't have to call me Merle Haggard, anymore.
Even though your on my fightin' side.
CHORUS
And I'll hang around as long as you will let me
And I never minded standin' in the rain.
You don't have to call me darlin', darlin'
You never even call me by my name.
I've heard my name a few times in your phone book
I've seen it on signs where I've laid
But the only time I know, I'll hear David Allan Coe
Is when Jesus has his final judgement day.
CHORUS...
Well, a friend of mine named Steve Goodman wrote that song
and he told me it was the perfect country and western song
I wrote him back a letter and told him it was NOT the perfect
country and western song because he hadn't said anything about
Momma, or trains, or trucks, or prison, or gettin' drunk.
Well, he sat down and wrote another verse to the song and he sent
it to me and after reading it, I realized that my friend had written
the perfect country and western song. And I felt obliged to include it
on this album. The last verse goes like this here:
Well, I was drunk the day my Mom got outta prison.
And I went to pick her up in the rain.
But, before I could get to the station in my pickup truck
She got runned over by a damned old train.
CHORUS:
So I'll hang around as long as you will let me
And I never minded standin' in the rain. No,
You don't have to call me darlin', darlin'
You never even call me, I wonder why you don't call me
Why don't you ever call me by my name.

Big and Rich Review / Warning
I could not be more dissatisfied with this album. I'm a B&R fan, but this is darn right disappointing. Here are some rankings on a 1/10 scale.
Lost in this moment - 8 (Cheesy wedding song but I like it)
Between Raising Hell and Amazing Grace - 6 (yawn)
Faster than angels fly - 5 (yawn)
Eternity - 5 (yawn)
When the Devil gets the best of me - 5 (yawn)
Radio - 6
You never stop loving somebody - 6
High Five - 5
Please Man - Featuring Wyclef Jean - 2 (Horrible)
You shook me all night long - 2 (Horrible countryfied cover)
Loud - 7 (Too bad the rest of the album didn't listen to these lyrics)

Albums usually grow on me but I seriously have doubts on this one. They've gone a bit too far off the path. I blame Kenny's wife.
It's got to be a combo of things. Tooo much Big Kenny influence with a side of drunkin stupid John Rich (He is big in the party scene as of late)
The level of suck on this album reminds me of big Kenny's solo stuff

You're exactly the type of person their music is trying to slap in the face. You're music prejudice. Hater.

. The original was already perfect the way it was !
