Thoughts, good wishes and maybe prayers needed.

My brother and sister in-laws received their first (and probably only) $1,000,000 investment early Saturday morning At 1:38 (I think) this Saturday morning. Baby Boy, 8 lbs and some odd ouchs... I mean ounces.

He was about a week late and there were some complication during the pregnancy as well as the delivery. The little guys had it hard already and he's fought hard so far.

Now he's here but not out of the woods yet, he was born with phenomena and he is struggling. They have been allowed in to see him to change his diapers but haven't even got to hold him yet. I did recive some photos.

They waited 5-6 years until they were positioned financially, but I don't think they were or are ready for these bills.

On the plus side I am an Uncle for the second time!
All nephews no nieces yet and another positive, I'd like to share with you guys, whom I consider a large part of you my firends.

The new daddy (my brother-in-law) turned to his dad (my father-in-law), whom my brother-in-law disowned his dad (my father-in-law) 20 years ago. This is the first time they have even talked in those 20 years. My brother-in-law turned to his dad (my father-in-law) for moral support. Which everyone in the family (including his mom, aka hid dads ex wife, his own wife, his dads GF, my wife, aunts uncles grand-ma everyone) had been hoping he (my brother-in-law) would soften and talk to his dad again some time soon. He called his dad at a meeting and his Dad, after 20 years of respecting his sons wishes and not having contact, he immediately left his meeting and drove 3 hours to be with his son and new grandson. Truly a Hallmark movie moment and I witnessed it first hand.

Yes sorry, it is pneumonia..

Update:
Just found out he also has a blood infection. They moved him to another hospital 45 mins away to a specialist. They were at the hospital at the states capitol, I would have thought that would have been the best one in the state, but apperantly not. They were not able to transfer mom but she is suppose to be released later today. They have taken him off oxygen so I am assuming that means he is doing better.

That guy looks pretty damn robust -- I'm sure he'll be fine!

We've had some friends who have had babies early and they've looked so sad and pathetic that you wonder how they even make it. Your little nephew looks so much better that I'm sure he'll pull through with flying colors!

Yep -- having a little one of your own is the surest way to getting past some the flaws we see in our parents! With my little guy coming up on 16-months of age, all I can say is how did my mom and dad ever do this 8 times over!

Congrats Matt! My prayers are with the little guy and the rest of the family, I hope he improves quickly.

It's very touching yet sad in a way that it took this to bring your brother-in-law and his father together after all this time. I hope they take this opportunity to let the past lie and look to the future together.
