quick question for car people

Ford made V4 engines for industrial applications for a few years. We had a chariot style forklift made by "White" that had the blue oval V4 in it where I used to work, and as far as I know, it's still going. It's about 30 years old now. It's set up on propane for indoor warehouse use, but it's a great forklift.

I always wanted to pop it into a sand rail or larger go-kart and see what it would do.
