I wasn't trying to out do you, btw.
I was still finding remains months and months after the initial cleaning.
I hate these F'in love bugs! I scrub them off every night when I get home.
For those who don't know the remains of these bugs will eat through your paint. That is why they are so bad. They are very acidic. I put a good coat of wax on this past weekend so they are easier to scrub off.

Its character as a public nuisance is due not to its bite or sting (as it is not capable of either) but to its apparently highly acidic body chemistry. Because airborne love bugs are drawn in enormous numbers to roadways, they die en masse on automobile windshields, hoods, and radiator grills. If left for more than an hour or two, the remains become dried and extremely difficult to remove, and their acidity pits etches automotive paint and chrome. Scrubbing deceased love bugs off the front of one's car immediately after the evening rush hour is a twice-yearly ritual for commuters in the Gulf South. The use of dryer sheets makes cleaning love bugs off your car much easier. Pouring soda on your windshield can also make the cleaning process easier.

See, I just leave a protective coat of mud on my vehicle at all times. If something hits the truck (bugs, trees, other vehicles, etc...) it just wipes off some mud, and leaves the paint intact.

Yep!
I drive an 80+ mile trip back and forth to work everyday. Part of my drive is crossing bridges that have feeders to the lake, and I get bugs on my truck big time.....not like love bugs, but you know what I mean.
That's the best thing to remove bugs....dry sheets.
