What do you expect, you live in Kentucky. The Louisville Chapter of the Crips probably needs some training from the kids here at the home office.

Crips and Bloods here at the Lost Angeles Headquarters operate differently. And those kids from MS-13 wouldn't even have allowed ricfly the opportunity to put up the sign. But, it seems, as with all things, quality is slipping. So it goes.

Vegas if full of wannabes and wiggers.
But also sometimes the wannabes are worse than real gang members if they are trying to earn rep points.
Who ever tag'd it has very little can control and hasn't been tagging for long.
Usually they tag walls and signs and crap, and don't mess with peoples stuff in their own neighborhood, so I'm guessing it's some dumb wannabe neighbor kid on your block that doesn't know any better.
I was good friends with a lot of ex gang members and some current ones when I lived in cali and you don't wanna **** off a whole gang. A girl I dated cousins are from real gangs in LA and when they have AK's and their gang name tattoo'd on their eye lids, that's when you know it's for real. And if you have a family then I don't think you want to have a car full of people shooting at your house. Some gang shot up my friends house because his brother pissed off the wrong people, thank god none of his family got hit. The brother that pissed them off didn't even live at home, so by messing with a gang he put his whole family in danger.
I do agree you need to watch out for your property, but maybe without the sign,I'd put a vid camera facing out at the truck and maybe you can find out who it is if they come back. And if you do catch him in the act, then of course it would be time to lay the smack down, but you may want to avoid bringing out the gun. I'd hate to see you on the news. Good luck man

dang ridge, they may be in real gangs. But they are still wannabe's if they just run away. The one's I know would start fighting the person right away, or shoot.

First off thank you for your services and sacrfices. I hope you are able to provide many more years of protection to the freedom of the United States of American Government. Although for some reason I'm not counting on it.

There are old Marines and there are bold Marines but therr is not any old bold Marines.

Survival is planning and outsmarting. Postion the threat where you want them, where they are flanked and you are covered, then drop them. Most important is always CYA (Cover Your ****)! Keep in mind that you are a trained killer, but you do not have a license to kill. Are you 100% sure, that you are fully prepared to serve the American goverment for the rest of your life from behind bars for killing a 12 year old American with a paint can?

First I want to say thanks for your service.
The law is neither fair nor just. Liberal judges and bad lawyers have all but guaranteed the criminal more rights than the victim. In your case if anything were to happen and you were unfortunately involved in an altercation in which another party was injured by you a chain of events will unfold in which you will be lucky to get out with your freedom let alone any personal assets. First off, I do not know of any State that allows the use of deadly force to protect mere assets. So if you did use a gun or other weapon that could be defined as deadly to attack someone vandalizing your property you will be charged with at least some form of assault and of course the charges would go up from there depending on the damage done to the now “victim”. Your weapon(s) will be confiscated and good luck trying to get them back even if you avoid convection. You will have to get an attorney and that is just bad all around for your financial future. If the case went to trial the prosecution will try and label you the instigator because of the sign and because you are an adult and a highly trained killer (trained marine) and I hope that it never got out that you posted on this site about any of this because they will find the posts on your computer and on this site and it now approaches the area of premeditative and then you are up a creek. Think of all the rights you will lose as a convicted felon all over some punks with spray paint. It’s not worth it. Start a block watch or something but don’t do anything that can be turned around and used against you.

You dont have to do that, not in Texas. At night time (assuming that is when it occurred), you have the right to use deadly force to protect your property, inside or outside your home.

With that said, you will still have to face the grand jury, articulate your justification for the use of that level of force, and you will have to sleep at night for your actions.

We all understand that you are pissed (to put it lightly), I would be too. You will honestly be OK knowing that someone came back to spray paint your truck and kill him for it? I am DEFINATELY not being liberal here just choose your battles wisely. Breaking into my house, threatening me, my family yes. Spray painting my truck, Ill break out the cleaner-wax.

Please don't think I am ripping you, I am not, just take a step back and look at the reaction for the incident. Not worth it IMHO. Don't spend all your money having to defend yourself in criminal court much less in civil court. Your family needs you for you and providing for them financially.

Yea but it's to long and doesnt seem to have the same impact to type, "You are a trained soldier but you have not been given the order to engage."

It also doesn't plea to his ego as much either. He's prideful of being able to kill and feels invincable. He's like a kid with a new toy, he wants to play with this new power.

Yep, I just wouldn't want some media labeling me as a trained killer vs an 'ex' or 'current' solder/Marine in the headline:

Trained Killer Murders a Young Local Graffitti Artist

To a prosecutor trying to convince a jury he would be shown that as a marine he is someone trained to kill and that he provoked the incident. I'm not saying that is the truth but that is how it would probably play out. Better to just let it go unless you feel you or the people around you are in real danger.

As for Texas and being able to use deadly force at night to protect property; has this law been challenged yet and do you know any of the outcomes? Having a law on the books potentially justifying an action does not mean it will save you in court. Just wondering.

Yes. That is what I mean you will still have to justify your use of force and that being deadly force.

I little stomping a butt into a mud hole may be sufficient.
