There's a 500x100 sig movement going on?!?!

Wait, should I have started another thread for the aforementioned question....

I bet these questions would go away if everyone took out the 500x100 from their pictures. If your doing it in "protest" then I doubt it's accomplishing anything except starting threads like this. And if your doing it to show your sig is 500x100 to show your following the requested size then it's worthless also. Because when you look at it you have a good idea it's an ok size....
So as long as it's in people that are new are going to continue to ask, and the people that don't like reposts will continue to say "use the search button". So simple fix, we can either choose not to reply on a repost, or do away with them so we don't get reposts...
I'm sure someone will have a complaint on my simple solution...
But whats new.

It's really not a protest the orginal design was a joke and it has gone wild and now the fire grows, but only a few are in the know.

Yes it is the requested size by the owner of the site too but thats only half the story and what spawned the joke. From that joke more have spawned and now we laugh if your in the know.

The standard banner on the WWW is 468x60. Steve is being more than generous by allowing us 500x100. Especially when you consider that he could have used that space and bandwidth for revenue. Every time you click Show your signature when you post is equal to about $20 worth of Steves real estate you are using everytime you post with your sig if it's 500x100. Even more if it's larger.

This thread alone from everyone who has posted so far and used thier sig is $210 worth of space if they were all 500x100 (which they are not) many are larger so they push it up to about $300 wirth of realestate being used. That's just in this one thread.
Do the math boys and girls and see what you would do if it was your site.

I spent a decent amount of time making my sig just right to appease all the big picture haters out there, I actually like the new size a lot better.

how about do it for us?

Course we'd have to see the sites bandwidth and the server cost to make those calculations. But I'd be save to bet it's closer to pennies a month per sig than 20 dollars a post.

I been meaning to resize my sig anyways. Next month when I get my lift installed it'll be resized. The truck and the sig lol

Yea the investment cost is only pennies, but his loss is more.

A single link is $20 a month, you can bet it's more for a banner.

Send me a PM, and I will resize your sig for you, but it wont be until next week. There is no way on gods green earth I will have a second of time anytime this week. I am wasting precious minutes just by posting. I've got a whole bag of worms opened I have to have put back in by next weekend so I dont let my kids down. Yep definatly 2 hours of sleep a day for teh rest of the week for me and I am not working at the moment. This sucks salty monkey *****.
