Does anyone know If a bed tent for a 6ft bed will fit on an 8 ft with a toolbox?

Nope, the tent has to wrap around the entire bed other wise it will leak, your bed floor and you wil be wet.

I just went camping in mine again this weekend... But I think that if you had the 8" tent that would be fine (I have a Sportz III or something) as the floor would just go over the toolbox and you could just put junk up there... I have some photos somewhere of mine maybe it would make it clearer... But if you had a 6' on a 8' bed it would leak into the bed and that might be fubar.

Hey, you can still buy the 8' tent, my question is the last model year it claims to work with is 06. I have an 07, is there any difference? Maybe they just didn't want to change the liturature?

Get a big tarp. That's what I did.

I have a roll bar so I use it as a main tent support. The I lash PVC pipes to it at the wheel well. Two more PVC pipes attached at the rear corners and it's perfect.

I do it like a man, I pick my site, clear the rocks, spread the tent, set it up and stake it down. Becasue of my manly outdoor skills I am confident that it will not blow away or leak because I did it right with out the use or assistance of a vehicle.

Then after all of that, I will often lay out in the open outside under the stars and sleep, becasue I'm not a litle girly girl scared of bugs or mosquitos. In fact they are scared of me!

Because after all the work of clearing the rocks and setting up the tent, you've sweated a couple of gallons and the bugs aren't the only thing that won't sleep in the tent with you!!

... and he's a chain smoker. He lies out in the open so he CAN fall asleep with a butt in his mouth and not make the newspaper for burning down his home.

I always wondered if one would fit over my toolbox so that I could use one. Just too expensive to buy not knowing if it'd fit or not.

Apparently all of them, never had much luck, maybe I need more beer.

Woman say that they want a manly mountain man, but if they run into one that after 2 days of not shaving, sweating, drinking beer, and survivng the wild..... they run to thier metro men with kahaki shorts, flip flops, cologne and polo shirts!

Can I get something in between? I'm not much for the khaki shorts, flip flops, cologne and polo shirt crowd. A manly mountain man could be acceptable, I don't have a problem with 2 days growth of facial hair but if he wants to share my tent he's going to have to shower and maybe brush his teeth!
