big rig fire

Comin' out of class today and sittin' at the light hear air horns blow, smoke startin' to roll, and a driver jump out. CB is yellin' "FIRE".

Fire trucks were on scene in 2 minutes.

I saw him jump out. At first I just thought it was brakes, but looks like an oil fire to me.

it looks like that the fire is right under the fuel tanks, I would say that a fitting or somethin came loose on the backside of one of the tanks....

whats funny is people were still driving by it when it was on fire... those tanks can still blow even if it is deisel... get it hot enuff and it will do the same thing as gas

Actually Diesel has a higher flash point but burns alot hotter and longer, not to mention the amount of fuel capacity of thier tanks, If they go then it would be much worse than a regular gas tank! Hopefully those tanks are full so it is less likely to blow.

My father is selling his rig today. Changing careers again, fuel costs and long hauls have worn on him.

It's killing him to let it go.

Basically looked like this one
