If you read the origional post, this isn't about all muslims being terrorists. This isn't about looking for trouble, or being anti-social. If you read the origional post, you'll see what others have seen. The glaring double standards that exsist in this country.

I posted this thread not because I think that all, or even a great percentage, muslims are terrorists. I'm not interested in starting trouble, though it can turn out looking that way to some. I'm certianly not anti-social. I started this thread to start a conversation. I though we were supposed to talk about things.

I started this thread because I'm curious what others think about the things that are happening in the world these days. Thats all.

I wasn't referring to you. I read the original post. My reply was in general to the general question that EA posed which went along with your idea that we are to discuss things. Adam wanted to know why it is that some look at Muslims as extremists (he didn't accuse you), and to his general question I gave an answer.

It's interesting though that you would think it's about you. Maybe we should talk about that.

I dont know who you prefer to fly with or how picky you are but I can be fairly flexiable for 1/2 price.
Here are thier airlines they have.

Note: the nwa in thier URL = (North West Arkansas) not North West Airlines.

Fairly nice facility too, much smaller terminal than MCI, Much easier to navigate, both in and out of as well as through. They are little slow on luggage return but over all have not had a bad experince yet.
I like XNA. I had to fly in there a couple of months ago when Tulsa was snowed in. It is a nice facility.

I just wish it accepted full size jets.

Ok. Maybe we should.

I didn't feel as I was being accused. I too was making a "general" statement. I guess in reality I am, but examples lead me to believe that what I say may be misconstrued.

Pretty much the same thing everywhere, D.

When one has to select between English or Spanish at an ATM (?) .... something is broken.

ummmmmm, En ger ish?

I thought we were in America? If you're using an ATM, shouldn't you be able to read English?

Late breaking news. Not all Muslims are terrorists. Not all terrorists are Muslims.

Why would this bother anyone if it doesn't affect them directly
While the statement "NOT ALL MUSLIMS ARE TERRORISTS" seems to be a popular one these days, let me point something out here.

If someone who claims to be a muslim denies that the Koran (or Quran) proclaims violence against anyone who is not a muslim, then they have not read the Koran.

Over and over and over and over again throughout that book, a muslim is told that ANYONE who does not proclaim allah as deity must die, and that hell is reserved for them along with a muslim that intentionally kills another muslim.

What's worse is that you get what's going on in Iraq right now. A muslim that believes every word of the koran will kill another muslim who doesn't follow the koran to a T and say the the muslim he killed really wasn't a muslim.

Now before you go off about Christians doing the same thing, stop and compare what the New Testament says against what the koran says. You'll find that supposed Christians who kill in the name of God IGNORE the New Testament, while muslims who kill are FOLLOWING the koran teachings precisely.

So, while "not all muslims are terrorists", it's because they fail to follow the koran.

Take a trip sometime to a muslim controlled country, and tell someone there that you will never follow the koran. You won't come home alive. What's amazing is the people that escape those countries, and talk about how many fewer muslims there would be if it wasn't for a muslim foot on their neck.

Mach,
I travel to lots of Muslim countries and I've managed to have a good time and make it home alive everytime.
Yes, the Koran says some crazy things. So does The Bible. Fundamentalists (on both sides) are where you get problems.
I have lived through terrorism in Britain with white Irish catholics killing us indisciminately for a fundamentalist political agenda so I believe I have some experience in this.

First, Catholics aren't really Christians if they worship Mary.

Second, maybe you're right. Maybe Muslims are just people that want to get along with everyone, and they really don't care what other people believe. They are just fine with Christians.

In fact, here's an article on our nice, quiet, peace loving, tolerant Muslim friends.

Open Minded Muslims.

Oooooh, internet quotes.

Well, right back at you then.
Read here about Nigerian Christians attacking and killing over 100 Muslims

http://ctlibrary.com/11732

Ok Mach, what does this prove?
Go back and read my posts. I said "Not all Muslims are terrorists" and "The problem is fudamentalists"
That counts for both sides, doesn't it?
Does the Nigerian attack make ALL Christians terrorists too?
Open your eyes and don't believe everything you see on Fox News.

I'm currently out in Azerbaijan, which is a Muslim country.
Last night I went out with a few Muslim friends, had quite a few beers, and a nice pork chop/mashed potato dinner.
Nobody tried to slit my throat or blow me up.
